Third-year students from the Midwifery Department of the Faculty of Health Sciences at Fırat University, accompanied by Assistant Professor Dr. Ayşe Nur Yılmaz and Research Assistant Dr. Nuray Kurt, visited Palu State Hospital and Kuyulu Health Center as part of their High-Risk Birth and Postpartum Care course.
During the visits, students had the opportunity to observe the functioning of healthcare services at different levels. At Palu State Hospital, students learned about the services offered and had the chance to examine practices related to high-risk pregnancies and postpartum care processes.
At Kuyulu Health Center, they learned about preventive healthcare services, efforts to improve public health, and the delivery of primary healthcare services.
Through these visits, students had the opportunity to connect their theoretical knowledge with practical applications, thus developing their professional perspectives. Field observations, which are crucial in midwifery education, contributed to strengthening the students' professional knowledge and experience.
