KOMİSYONLARIN GÖREV TANIMLARI
QUALITY AND ACCREDITATION COMMITTEE |
To prepare the departmental activity report for that year in November of each year, |
To prepare the strategic activity report of the previous year and the next year at the end of the period meeting to be held in the last week of January or the first week of February of each year, |
Participating in the trainings organised by Fırat University Quality Coordination Office and requesting training when necessary, |
To prepare the information and documents requested by Fırat University Quality Coordination Unit in January of each year and to be used in the Internal Evaluation Report, |
To provide suggestions to other commissions in terms of updating and following quality studies, |
To provide orientation training for programme students no later than the 3rd week following the beginning of the academic year, |
To ensure the preparation of the FEDEK Self-Assessment Report, |
To contribute to the organisation of the curriculum according to the accreditation criteria by consulting the department curriculum with the education commission, |
To direct the work of other commissions according to accreditation expectations, |
To organise the department review and evaluation visits planned by FEDEK, |
To follow and coordinate accreditation activities, |
To take the necessary actions and decisions to correct the deficiencies, weaknesses, etc. specified in the reports of the Accreditation Evaluation Commission, |
EXEMPTION AND ADJUSTMENT COMMITTEE |
To follow up the exemption, adjustment and education processes of students who come through horizontal and vertical transfer or newly enrolled students |
To follow the exemption, adjustment and education processes of students within the scope of Erasmus, Mevlana, Farabi and bilateral agreements |
To follow the exemption, adjustment and education processes of students who come with double major and minor protocols |
EDUCATION COMMITTEE |
To create the programme curriculum and to work on updating and changing the curriculum when deemed necessary as a result of consultations with other commissions, |
To identify, plan and follow the changes to be made in the education programmes (opening a new course or closing an existing course, changing the name, code and content or credit/ACTS of an existing course, etc.) |
To propose the opening of a new department or programme |
To evaluate Erasmus, Farabi, Mevlana and international bilateral agreements within the scope of education and curriculum, |
To develop appropriate methods within the scope of measurement, evaluation and self-assessment for department activities, to update the developed method and to ensure its implementation, |
To ensure that student course evaluation surveys are conducted in the OBS system before the general exams in the autumn and spring semesters of the academic year, to send the survey results to the relevant faculty members and to evaluate the surveys at the end of the semester meeting, |
To work on updating self-assessment questionnaires, |
INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL STAKEHOLDER CO-OPERATION COMMITTEE |
To identify external stakeholders in January of each year within the needs of the programme, |
To organise at least one internal stakeholder and one external stakeholder meeting in each academic year and to report the meeting, |
To ensure the contribution of relevant stakeholders by establishing communication with stakeholders |
To identify the views and expectations of stakeholders, |
To contribute to improvement efforts by identifying the strengths and weaknesses of the department within the scope of stakeholder opinions, |
To include stakeholder expectations in strategic planning and quality studies, |
INTERNATIONALISATION AND BILATERAL COOPERATION COMMITTEE |
To carry out studies in line with the internationalisation mission and vision adopted by Fırat University as an institution, |
To carry out R&D studies to strengthen the existing programme and make it internationally recognised, |
To monitor and promote bilateral cooperation, joint undergraduate and graduate programmes, European Union agreements, central projects and Erasmus activities in higher education that will contribute to internationalisation, |
To identify weaknesses and contribute to the preparation of infrastructure for the formation of bilateral collaborations, international partnerships, joint undergraduate and graduate programmes to be established at the programme level, |
To obtain the opinion of the Education Commission in the preparation of bilateral co-operation agreements, |
CAREER PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE |
To carry out studies to increase the career adaptation of students who are new to the university, |
To organise activities for our students and graduates in order to provide qualified human resources needed by the public and private sectors, |
Organising trainings for students and graduates on topics such as CV preparation, interview techniques, job search, |
Organising events to enable successful graduates to share their success stories and work experiences with current students, |
Organising seminars, interviews, webinars and course programmes for students on topics such as ‘success in business life’, ‘career management’, ‘professional development’ etc. and planning activities to encourage the participation of graduates together with Fırat University Career Centre |
To organise and report at least one career activity involving current and graduated students in an academic year |
COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTION MANAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE |
To bring students and faculty members of the programme together, to plan and carry out social activities that will contribute to the community, |
To cooperate with student clubs, to contribute to the activities to be organised, |
To plan and realise social contribution projects in cooperation with NGOs, |
To organise media programmes (TV, radio, social media, press, etc.) in accordance with the aims and objectives of the programme, thus developing ways of communication and interaction between academia and society, |
R&D MONITORING AND DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE |
To provide trainings for the development of national and international R&D projects, |
To report the R&D projects applied for within the programme at the end of the autumn and spring semesters and to process them in the strategic activity report, |
To encourage faculty members and students within the programme to develop R&D projects, |
To report periodically the outputs such as publications, patents, useful products produced from R&D projects carried out in the programme and to process them in the unit activity report, |
