As the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Department of the Faculty of Health Sciences at Fırat University, we held an event at the Mavi Kardelen Special Education and Rehabilitation Center on April 2nd, Autism Awareness Day. During the event, various movement-based activities were conducted with autistic children, accompanied by fun and music, to support their social interaction. The event, which was attended by department students and faculty members, included activities aimed at improving the children's motor skills, while also providing information to families. The importance of increasing social awareness of autism was highlighted, and the necessity of inclusive and supportive approaches was emphasized.
Our department continues to improve the quality of life for individuals with special needs through community-based practices and awareness-raising activities.
