As part of the 2025–2026 Academic Year Social Contribution Activities, Associate Professor Dilek Güneş from the Department of Nursing, Division of Surgical Nursing, conducted an educational program on “Obesity” for middle school students at Final Schools on March 4, World Obesity Day.
The event, which attracted significant interest and participation from students, covered topics such as the definition and diagnosis methods of obesity, obesity-related diseases, strategies for preventing obesity, the importance of lifestyle changes in the treatment process, and developing balanced eating habits.
The training emphasized the critical role of healthy eating and regular physical activity, especially during childhood, in preventing obesity, with the aim of raising students' awareness about healthy living. The program was successfully completed with students' questions and interactive sharing.
