World Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day Event Held at Fırat University with Large Participation

The event, organized by Fırat University's Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation on October 6th, World Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day, was enthusiastically attended by university students and faculty.

Prof. Dr. Gamze Kirkil, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, also attended the event to support the students and faculty. She emphasized the importance of raising awareness and working together on this meaningful day and expressed her gratitude to all participants for their concern.

Participants wore green clothing to raise awareness about cerebral palsy, sending a message of awareness. This special day, symbolizing hope and solidarity, was embraced by the community in a meaningful way.

One of the most popular parts of the event was the "hand printing event" held at the entrance of University House from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Students and faculty members left their mark on raising awareness with colorful prints created with their painted hands. Informational brochures were distributed throughout the event, and brief information about the lives of individuals with cerebral palsy was provided.

Participants experienced both an educational and emotional experience during this event, learning about cerebral palsy and reaffirming the importance of raising public awareness.

The faculty and students of the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Department of Fırat University's Faculty of Health Sciences stated that they would continue to hold such events to support the active participation of individuals with special needs in social life and thanked all students and academic staff who contributed.
