Orientation Program Held for New Students at the Faculty of Health Sciences

Fırat University Faculty of Health Sciences held a comprehensive two-day orientation program for students starting the 2025-2026 academic year.

The program began on September 25, 2025, with opening remarks by Prof. Dr. Gamze Kırkıl, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences. The Vice Dean gave a presentation on the faculty's mission, vision, and academic structure. Student affairs staff then provided explanations about the academic calendar. Student clubs within the faculty also met with students to introduce social life and club activities. At the end of the day, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Filiz Ersöğütçü gave an awareness seminar on “Combating Addiction.”

On the second day of the program, September 26, 2025, department introductions were made by the Heads of Departments. The Heads of the Education Committees of the departments provided information about the four-year education plan and internship processes. Afterwards, the laboratory coordinators introduced the application areas to the students. During the campus tour organized after the lunch break, students visited the university library, student living areas, and application areas. The program ended with an introduction to Fırat University Hospital and Fethi Sekin City Hospital.

In addition to Dean Prof. Dr. Gamze Kırkıl, the program was actively attended by the dean's assistants, faculty members, and student club presidents.

It was stated that the orientation program aimed to help students quickly adapt to the faculty, university life, and social environment.
