Training on the Development of Civilian Oversight in the Fight Against Drugs Organized
A training was organized for the academic and administrative staff of the Faculty of Health Sciences of Fırat University in order to develop civilian oversight in the fight against drugs. The training, which took place in the Meeting Hall of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of the university, was given by Eyyüp Esergün, who is on duty at the Provincial Police Department's Narcotics Crimes Combat Branch.

The importance of combating narcotics crimes and issues such as substance addiction were discussed in detail in the training. Esergün informed the participants about the causes of substance addiction, the effects of the substances used, the places where drugs are sold and used, and also informed the participants about the legal situation.

The "UYUMA Mobile Application" was also introduced in the training, and the contributions of this application in the fight against drugs were explained. In addition, effective methods of combating narcotics crimes, professional solutions and the functions of substance addiction combat centers were also emphasized.

One of the most striking parts of the program was the introduction of the "Narkorehber" and "Best Narcotics Police Mother" projects. These projects emphasized the critical role that families, especially mothers, can play in protecting their children from substance abuse.

Academic and administrative staff who participated in the training gained awareness that the fight against drug addiction should also be supported by civil society and families. The training ended after the staff's questions on the subject were answered.
