Nursing Week Event Organized

"Nursing Week Event" organized by the Nursing Week Commission of Fırat University Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nursing was held on May 11, 2022 at Fırat University Mustafa Temizer Conference Hall.

The Nursing Week event was held with the participation of Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Prof. Dr. Gamze Kırkıl, academicians, nurses and nursing students. The event, which started with a moment of silence for Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades-in-arms and the National Anthem, started with a speech by Dr. Lecturer Nur Özlem Kılınç, Head of the Nursing Week Commission of the Nursing Department. Prof. Dr. Nur Özlem Kılınç and Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Prof. Dr. Gamze Kırkıl made opening speeches.

Within the scope of the Nursing Week Event, a panel on "Disaster and Nursing" was organized. In the panel; Dr. Lecturer. Prof. Dr. Nur Özlem Kılınç chaired the 1st session; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muhammet Fırat's presentation titled "Sociological Consequences of the Earthquake" and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özlem Selime Merter's presentation titled "Disaster Management and Nursing", in Session 2 chaired by Lecturer Güllü YEŞİL; Nurse Remziye Öncü's presentation titled "The Role of Nurses in Magnet Hospitals" and Specialist. Nurse Sümeyye Bilgili's presentation titled "Disaster and Post-Disaster Experiences - Crush Syndrome Case".

Fırat University Nursing Week Event ended with the presentation of plaques and photo shoot.
